Curtis & Jaimee | Barnesville Civic Center | Barnesville, Georgia Wedding

On Saturday October 5, 2019, a beautiful warm fall day, Curtis and Jaimee finally tied the knot in a traditional ceremony at the Barnesville Civic Center. Together with their friends and family, they joined hands and became husband and wife. I just adore these two. From the moment we first spoke, I knew we were meant to work together. My favorite Disney movie of all time is Beauty and the Beast and when Jaimee told me that was the theme of her wedding I was so excited. And when she said Beauty and the Beast theme, she meant it! They went all out! I worked with them to capture their engagement shoot at The RockHill Castle and then had the honor of being there for their entire wedding day. There was laughter, tears, love, and even a lap dance!

These two met young and dated for a very long time before finally making it to the altar! From the beginning of the day there were nerves and jitters. Both Curtis and Jaimee cried at the first sight of each other. They had hand written vows that causes laughter and tears. They danced, sang to each other, fed each other cake, and really enjoyed their day. Curtis had a great time getting that garter off of her!

My favorite moment was when Jaimee realized that though her brother was unable to make it to the wedding due to being stationed overseas, her bridesmaids were able to Facetime him just in time for the first dance and surprise her. Those shots are my favorite! The pure shock and joy on her face followed by the emotion brought tears to my eyes! I'm so happy he was able to enjoy the day too.

Between the dances, the cake, and the laughs, we were able to run outside to capture some husband and wife portraits and I danced around in giggles at what we captured. These two are such a breeze to work with. Both willing to smile or give me model faces when asked. They never questioned what I wanted to do and got some great portraits from their day. After ending the night, we ran outside with the remaining guests to do a sparkler send off and they ran off to enjoy their honeymoon. I so look forward to working with them in the future.
