Love is in the Air Styled Shoot - A Little Piece of Heaven Venue - Carrollton, Georgia
Good Morning Everyone!
On Sunday I had such a fun time at A Little Piece of Heaven Venue for another styled shoot with Styled Shoots with R & R. When I first saw this venue through their Facebook page, I was a little bit skeptical about the look and feel that they were going for. I will say that the pictures they have do not do this beautiful venue justice! I was excited to get to go back to Carrollton because I attended school there at the University of West Georgia and remember having so much fun in that town. It's full of vibrant people and students.
When I turned off the main road and took the gravel drive down the twisting path to the back of this large lot, I thought I'd taken the wrong road. I followed all the 5mph signs until I curved around a small pond and found the parking. Still skeptical, I made my way up the sloping lawn to the venue's location and was amazed. This little venue has so much to offer! They have spent time building a dance floor with lights, a "music box" for a DJ, and a bar area. They have a vintage truck with the back rebuilt so you can climb up and sit in it. There is a covered tent, built in seating with tables, and if you follow a small twisted path you find yourself staring out onto a large pond with a fountain in the middle!
This was not at all what I expected when I rolled up in Carrollton! There is a quaint wooded cottage for the bride and groom to get ready and another small house for an indoor reception should it rain. They are also in the works of building a barn on site for more room! You have your choice of where you want your ceremony, but personally, I'd choose it on the dock overlooking the water! There is a rope swing for those special bridal portraits and the most perfect little signs leading you too and from the ceremony area. They even have this small covered bridge for intimate pictures for the couple! To say I was impressed wouldn't cover it. I was so happy that we were allowed to use this venue so we could shed light on all its great features!
After getting acquainted with the lot, I jumped right into detail shots while the group was still getting ready. I absolutely love what Rheannon & Rachel put together! These two ladies outdo themselves with each shoot I go to! They had flowers, invitations, shoes, rings, jewelry, cake, macaroons (a crowd favorite from Mac Lab! I don't think there were any left by the end of the shoot!) reception table, sweetheart table, and decorations galore! There was even cotton candy (my favorite!).
The bride and groom were the sweetest married couple and our high fashion bride was just fierce in her posing and facial expressions! I could spend hours running her around the city for a shoot! With two bridesmaids this time, we had plenty of models to split between the photographers and I had so much fun posing everyone! The venue has so many amazing spots for a photographer to work with that I was running all over the place with my models and I even missed a few spots! I'd love to spend an 8 hour wedding there and capture every amazing location they have set up. The possibilities are endless!
I also had the pleasure of running into another Amy & Jordan student in which we fangirled for a moment and high-fived! It was great to meet you Tia! Thank you so much for all your help and support and being so kind.
I look forward to the next shoot!
